The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 17 contest against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington.

The significant news coming out of Thursday's practice was that defensive lineman Jullian Taylor suffered a knee injury. Head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed on Friday that Taylor suffered a torn ACL and will be placed on injured reserve. The team will promote defensive lineman Kevin Givens from the practice squad to take Taylor's roster spot.

Defensive end Dee Ford (quadricep, hamstring) continues to miss practice and has been ruled out for Sunday.

Safety Jaquiski Tartt (ribs) and wide receiver Deebo Samuel (shoulder) remained in blue no-contact jerseys on Friday but have practiced all week. Samuel is expected to play on Sunday, and the receiver did not appear on Friday's team-issued injury report.

"There's concern on all these guys," Shanahan told reporters on Friday. "Everyone's got some wear and tear, but he'll be alright for the game. He'll be able to play for it, so he's not questionable at all in that way."

Tartt, however, is listed as "doubtful" for Sunday.

"He's gotten out there a little bit; some more than he has been, which does give him a chance, whatever that word means," Shanahan said. "It means it's more of an outside chance."

If Tartt cannot play, Marcell Harris will get another start in his place. Tartt has been inactive for the last three games.

Guard Mike Person (neck) is the only 49ers player listed as "questionable."

Below are the official injury reports for the 49ers and Seahawks, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff. Also included are this week's practice participation reports.

Malachi Corley has been likened to versatile San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel. What does Corley, the former Western Kentucky wide receiver, think about the prospect of joining Samuel and the rest of the 49ers' receiving corps? It's a possibility. Corley is expected to be drafted in the second or third round this week and recently visited the team in Santa Clara. Could it be the 49ers calling his name? "Put me out there with Deebo," Corley recently told Kay Adams on the "Up and Adams" show. "Deebo, left, Malachi, right, [Brandon] Aiyuk, [Christian] McCaffrey down the middle." While 49ers fans hope to see Aiyuk remain with the team, negotiations for

When asked about the possibility of wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk not being on the San Francisco 49ers roster on Friday morning, general manager John Lynch responded, "I wouldn't anticipate that." Lynch assured reporters that signing Aiyuk to a long-term extension is a priority, stating, "And our wish is that he's here and a part of the Niners for the rest of his career. We're working through that." While Lynch didn't elaborate on the conversations occurring behind closed doors, Michael Silver of the San Francisco Chronicle reports that a potential trade remains a

REPORTS: The Pittsburgh Steelers are aggressively pursuing a Brandon Aiyuk trade and the Steelers would be "surprised" if they don't land Aiyuk. Of note: Pittsburgh has the 20th overall pick. By David Bonilla

Speculation surrounding Brandon Aiyuk will likely continue until the end of the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, which kicks off tonight. All eyes are on what the San Francisco 49ers will do at No. 31 overall and what moves they might make before then. While general manager John Lynch assured the media this week that retaining Aiyuk is the priority, the receiver eagerly awaits the 49ers to back up their words with action, making him one of the NFL's highest-paid receivers. One Bleacher Report writer, Ryan Fowler, proposes a trade likely to draw criticism from 49ers fans. In his analysis of one draft-day trade "that makes sense"
