The Seattle Seahawks lost running backs Chris Carson (hip) and C.J. Prosise (broken arm) for the remainder of the season after both players were injured during the team's loss on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.
Help appears to be on the way as the Seahawks head into an NFC West showdown with the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night, a game that will determine the division winner and have a significant impact on playoff seeding in the NFC.
The Seahawks have reunited with running back Marshawn Lynch, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, signing him to a deal for the last regular season game and playoffs. He is expected to play on Sunday.

Seattle also signed running back Robert Turbin.
Lynch spent six seasons (2010-15) with the Seahawks, after spending his first four NFL seasons with the Buffalo Bills. He spent his final two seasons with the Oakland Raiders before announcing his decision to step away from football and retire following the 2018 season.
Lynch has 10,379 rushing yards on 2,441 attempts with 84 rushing touchdowns through his 11 NFL seasons. His last game against the 49ers came in 2015 when he racked up 122 rushing yards and a touchdown on 27 carries in a 20-3 win by the Seahawks.
After being selected in the fourth round of the 2012 draft, Turbin recorded 231 carries for 928 rushing yards and hauled in 43 receptions for 427 receiving yards over his three seasons with the Seahawks. He also spent time with the Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, and, most recently, the Indianapolis Colts.
Turbin has recorded 355 carries for 1,354 rushing yards with nine touchdowns in his seven NFL seasons.
