We have a shootout at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The San Francisco 49ers cut the Saints' lead down to 27-21 after an impressive play call that had wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders tossing a deep pass to running back Raheem Mostert, who caught the football and ran into the end zone.
Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo handed the football to wide receiver Deebo Samuel to begin the play. Samuel then lateraled it to Sanders, who went deep for Mostert. The touchdown pass and reception went for 35 yards.
The score was followed by a "Let's go Niners" chant that broke out at the Superdome.
Sanders becomes the first 49ers player in team history to have a passing and receiving touchdown in a game, per ESPN Stats.
