Oct 23, 2019 at 7:10 AM--

Kwon Alexander is the latest San Francisco 49ers player to be mic'd up in a game. 49ers Studios, the team's in-house production studio, released the following video featuring the 25-year-old linebacker during Sunday's 9-0 road victory over the Washington Redskins.

The 49ers signed Alexander on March 13, and he has become a vocal leader on the defense. Alexander had five tackles and a forced fumble on Sunday at FedExField.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made Alexander a fourth-round selection out of LSU in 2015. He has registered 30 combined tackles, 0.5 sacks, four passes defensed, an interception, and a forced fumble through six starts with San Francisco this season.

We live in a new world where awareness and compassion seem to be on the rise, and offensive icons like the Washington team name may be on the way out. The team's stadium sponsor, FedEx, this week requested a name change. "We have communicated to the team in Washington our request that they change the team name," FedEx said in a

ESPN's Field Yates named five win-win NFL trades on Thursday morning, all while noting that such deals are unlikely. NFL trades, in general, are rare compared to other leagues, but the ESPN insider went ahead with the task anyway. The San Francisco 49ers were involved in one of the hypothetical trades, and it involved shipping off the team's second-round pick from 2018 — wide receiver Dante Pettis. Who would the Niners get in return? The Houston Texans' fourth-round selection from the same year, wide receiver Keke Coutee. "Coutee -- taken in the 2018 draft, like Pettis -- provides San

By David Bonilla

Naturally, knowing that the roster was capable of something special, general manager John Lynch started to look into his options. Disgruntled Washington tackle Trent Williams was one of those options. "We had made a call about it in the last season when Joe (Staley) and (Mike) McGlinchey were hurt, thinking, wow, this could be an option," Lynch told Greg Papa during the 49ers' virtual State of the Franchise event this week. "When those guys come back, maybe we play him at guard." The trade, obviously, didn't happen during the season. It did happen, however, during the third day of this year's
