With a decision regarding the fate of San Francisco 49ers head coach Mike Nolan looming, fans have turned their attention to the blogs of Matt Maiocco and Matt Barrows.

The two 49ers beat writers are often the first to report 49ers news of interest and are currently staking out the the 49ers headquarters in an attempt to find any sources of information for fans.

The San Francisco 49ers officially announced the five-year extension for star linebacker Fred Warner. News of the deal was first reported yesterday. The $95.225 million contract could keep the All-Pro defender with San Francisco through the 2026 season. Fred Warner has been paid, and the All-Pro linebacker is excited to get back to work. The San Francisco 49ers report to training camp next week and will hold their first practice on Wednesday, July 28. A historic number of injuries derailed the Niners' 2020 campaign, and the team finished with just six wins. In addition, the defense lost its coordinator, Robert Saleh, who left to become the head coach of the New York Jets. DeMeco Ryans, Warner's former position coach, replaces Saleh.
