The San Francisco 49ers announced that the team will host Dwight Clark Day on August 7 (8/7) during the open training camp practice.
"The day will feature various activations to continue to honor Clark's lasting legacy," the team announced.
Those activities will include Dwight Clark fan giveaways, the sale of the new "Letters to 87" book with author Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area on hand to sign copies, a collection of those letters on display in the 49ers Museum, and a special announcement of permanent Dwight Clark signage inside the bowl at Levi's Stadium.
49ers alumni will also host families touched by ALS in the team's Community Corner.
