49ers TE George Kittle shows off new Joker tattoo

Jun 4, 2019 at 3:09 PM--

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle showed off his new Joker tattoo to reporters after Tuesday's practice. He got the tattoo the day before getting married in April.

Cam Inman of Bay Area News Group snapped a photo of the tattoo on his left arm, which appears to be the version of the Joker brought to the screen by the late Heath Ledger from Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight film in 2008.

Kittle had a breakout season in 2018 while setting a new NFL single-season record for receiving yards by a tight end. He registered 88 receptions for 1,377 yards with five touchdowns through his 16 starts and earned his first trip to the Pro Bowl.

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle joined KNBR on Tuesday morning, the morning after attending the wedding of his close friend and teammate, wide receiver Trent Taylor. The NFL star was actually in his car, returning to the Santa Clara area during the interview, resulting in some audio drops and a missed exit on the freeway. The topic of the 49ers quarterback situation came up. Kittle had both Nick Mullens and C.J. Beathard throwing him the football on Sunday night. By the way, Kittle had a phenomenal night, hauling in 15 passes on 15 targets for 183 yards and a score. It wasn't as good a night for Mullens, who has been stepping in for the injured Jimmy Garoppolo. Mullens earned the lowest Pro Football Focus grade for a starting quarterback this season

Deebo Samuel welcomed rookie Brandon Aiyuk into the team's "YAC Bros" club. The San Francisco 49ers receivers take pride in their ability to rack up yards after the catch. It's a skill that head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch seek in their offensive weapons. Maybe the "YAC Bros" is a bit more exclusive of a club than you might think. Apparently, All-Pro tight end George Kittle hasn't received his invite yet despite leading the team this season in total yards after the catch. Two seasons ago, he led the league in that category. "Am I a part of the YAC Bros? I didn't get a formal invitation or a t-shirt of anything," Kittle jokingly told reporters

George Kittle says 49ers offense has 'weapons all over the field'

Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores was asked this week about San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle. The Dolphins defense is tasked with trying to stop the Niners All-Pro, who is widely considered the best tight end in the game. Flores acknowledged that stopping Kittle, who exploded on Sunday night for 183 receiving yards and a score, is nearly impossible. "I don't think you stop him," Flores told 49ers reporters. "I think you just try to limit him. You try to give him different looks. ... When you've got a player like this, you've got to think about doubling a guy like this." The Dolphins coach also noted that focusing on stopping or even limiting Kittle potentially opens things up for the other offensive weapons at the 49ers'
