Bay Area sports teams are seeing a lot of success. The San Jose Sharks went deep in the Stanley Cup playoffs before being eliminated by the St. Louis Blues. The Golden State Warriors find themselves, once again, in the NBA Finals awaiting the winner out of the East.
San Francisco 49ers fullback
Kyle Juszczyk made sure to attend some Sharks and Warriors games and was impressed with the fans in each arena. He was exposed to atmospheres he hopes can one day find their way to Levi's Stadium. Juszczyk knows, however, that the 49ers need to start winning for that to happen.
"We've had that exact conversation over and over,"
Juszczyk said Thursday on 95.7 The Game. "The energy at SAP (Center) and Oracle (Arena), every time I'm like, 'Let's bring this to Levi's (Stadium). This could be huge.' We really feel like if we give these fans a reason to cheer like these teams are, like the Warriors and the Sharks are, it's going to be an electric atmosphere."
And in case you were wondering, Juszczyk says he was not in the same SAP Center suite with the 49ers' offensive linemen when this happened.
Of course, no interview would be complete without an update on Jimmy Garoppolo. Much is riding on the health and success of the 49ers' franchise quarterback.
"Jimmy looks great," Juszczyk said. "You can't tell that he's coming off an injury. It seems like he moves the same, operating the same, the same Jimmy. He's out there slinging it, looking good."
You can listen to the entire conversation with Juszczyk below.

Kyle Juszczyk: 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk "just looks different than everyone else on the field"
Anything short of topping his 78-catch, 1,015-receiving-yard, and eight-touchdown performance from last season might disappoint San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. All were career highs, and the fourth-year wideout expects more of himself in 2023.
"I'm about to take off," Aiyuk declared last week. "That's it. ... We all know it's football. Nothing's ever guaranteed, but just getting a better understanding for my life as a person, and then as a football player, kind of putting those things together and then just looking to get better."
If Aiyuk does "take off" during the upcoming season, it creates an interesting predicament for the organization. When
NFL Network to live broadcast two 49ers preseason games in 2023
The NFL announced that two San Francisco 49ers exhibition games would be part of the 23 preseason games to air live on NFL Network in 2023.
The first live broadcast will be the team's preseason opener against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium. Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. PT on Sunday, August 13.
The second live broadcast will be the 49ers' preseason finale against the Los Angeles Chargers at Levi's Stadium. That game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. PT on Friday, August 25.
It's worth noting that both games are the second part of double-headers. That means non-Bay Area fans may miss the early portions of those games while awaiting the end of the earlier matchups. On August 13, it will be a 10:00 a.m. PT matchup between the
Kyle Shanahan: 49ers QB Brock Purdy throwing 3 times a week, "right on track" with recovery
The San Francisco 49ers were optimistic that quarterback Brock Purdy would fully recover from offseason surgery in time for the regular season. That hasn't changed as the team kicked off its mandatory minicamp on Tuesday.
Purdy underwent surgery on March 10 to repair the torn ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right elbow. He started some limited throwing last week, a big step in his rehab.
Reporters got a glimpse of Purdy on Tuesday, running on the side as his teammates practiced. While no throws were observed during the session, the recovering quarterback does throw multiple times a week.
"He's right on pace," head coach Kyle Shanahan said after Tuesday's practice. "I think he throws three times a week. I do not sit and watch those. It's part
Kyle Shanahan says 49ers have not discussed potential trade with Trey Lance
According to head coach Kyle Shanahan, the San Francisco 49ers have not discussed a potential trade with quarterback Trey Lance. That shouldn't surprise anyone, but the coach was asked about trade discussions after Tuesday's practice.
Second-year quarterback Brock Purdy is trending well in his recovery from surgery to repair the torn ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right elbow. He is doing some limited throwing about three times a week and will ramp up his workload in the coming months.
