The San Francisco 49ers announced on Monday that the team has waived seven players. The move leaves the team with one punter, fourth-round draft pick Mitch Wishnowsky out of Utah, and makes room for the signings of undrafted free agents.
WR Steven Dunbar Jr.
The 49ers initially signed Dunbar as an undrafted free agent out of Houston in 2018. He was promoted to the active roster on December 26, 2018.
DB Godwin Igwebuike
The 49ers claimed Igwebuike off waivers on November 27, 2018, after he was waived by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
CB Tarvarus McFadden
The 49ers initially signed McFadden as an undrafted free agent out of Florida State in 2018. He was signed to a future contract on January 1.
LB James Onwualu
The 49ers signed Onwualu on November 19, 2018, and then promoted him to the active roster eight days later.
WR Jordan Smallwood
The 49ers signed Smallwood to the practice squad on December 19, 2018. He was signed to a future contract on January 1.
P Justin Vogel
The 49ers signed Vogel, a former member of the Green Bay Packers, on March 19.
S Terrell Williams Jr.
The 49ers signed Williams was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Houston on April 30, 2018. He was placed on injured reserve on August 17, 2018. Williams was signed to a future contract on January 1.
