Mock Draft Roundup 6.0: Nick Bosa increases lead as favorite for 49ers’ pick at No. 2

Apr 10, 2019 at 2:31 PM--

Each week leading to the draft, we'll look at a collection of mock drafts from various sources and compile the list of the top prospects projected to head to the 49ers.

We surveyed 75 online mock drafts this week and tallied which prospects are the most popular choices for the San Francisco 49ers, who currently own the No. 2 overall pick in this month's draft. The mock drafts include big-name sites like ESPN and NFL.com to smaller independent sites.

Former Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa, who is visiting with the 49ers on Wednesday and Thursday, remains as the overwhelming favorite to become the No. 2 overall pick on April 25. Over 77 percent of mock drafts now have Bosa headed to Santa Clara.

Trailing a distant second and third are former Alabama defensive lineman Quinnen Williams and former Kentucky linebacker Josh Allen.

Jimmy Garoppolo fighting perception, looking to prove he can lead 49ers

By Sasha D. Robinson
Nov 24

Is the Jimmy Garoppolo who threw for 228 yards and four touchdowns the guy San Francisco 49ers fans were looking for or is this an illusion like last year? Since stepping back into the starting role for quarterback Trey Lance, who suffered an ankle injury in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks, the 49ers have a 6-3 record. Garoppolo has thrown 15 touchdowns and four interceptions, but there is something different about him this year compared to his past couple of years with the team. Garoppolo does not look like the same player who lost a heartbreaker in last year's NFC Championship Game. Instead, he has the fiery presence of someone you want to follow on and off the field. Even the former Eastern Illinois Panther quarterback's deep ball seems to have more

49ers Notebook: Shanahan talks Saints, 2nd-half shutouts, rushing attack; Ryans on teammates helping Bosa

The San Francisco 49ers have won three consecutive games and are probably feeling pretty good heading into their Week 12 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. No one is overlooking the 4-7 team, though. Head coach Kyle Shanahan has been impressed with New Orleans' defense, understanding that the 49ers' seventh win of the season won't come easy. "Just starting with their defense, they look like a [Saints head coach] Dennis Allen team," Shanahan said. "They've been, to me, one of the best defenses in the league here over the last five or six years. I don't think their numbers are quite there as they usually are, but I think a lot of that has to do with they've been missing about seven starters a number of these games. But they are as tough, and physical, and as sound as

The San Francisco 49ers were clicking on all cylinders in a 38-10 throttling of a hapless Arizona Cardinals team in Mexico City on Monday night football. The Niners are again favored by more than a touchdown as they return home on a short week to welcome another bottom-dwelling team in the New Orleans Saints. Here we discuss the odds and analysis from a betting perspective. When: Sunday November 27th, 2022 at 1:25pm (FOX) Where: Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara, California Line: 49ers -9; o/u 43 New Orleans Saints The New Orleans Saints handled a reeling Los Angeles Rams team who were without Cooper Kupp and down Matthew Stafford leaving with a concussion. 49ers' Kyle Shanahan, George Kittle respond to viral Jimmy G video from Warriors game

By David Bonilla
Nov 16

Jimmy Garoppolo, George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey, and Kyle Juszczyk sat courtside during Monday night's basketball game between the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs. While some fans might be excited to see all of the San Francisco 49ers stars at Chase Center, the Warriors dancers were seemingly focused on one player—Jimmy G. Cameras caught several dancers coming over to greet the quarterback, ignoring the teammates sitting next to him, much to the amusement of Kittle and the others. They were loving Jimmy G 😂
