Cardinals are shopping quarterback Josh Rosen, per report

The Josh Rosen era in Arizona looks like it is ending after one season and the Kyler Murray era may be on the horizon. The Cardinals are shopping last year's No. 10 overall pick, according to a report by Charley Casserly of NFL Network.

If Murray goes No. 1 overall to the Cardinals next month, that will leave the San Francisco 49ers with their choice of anyone from their draft board, including former Ohio State pass rusher Nick Bosa. It could also put the 49ers in position to trade down and add to their six draft picks.

Rumors started to circulate last week at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis that head coach Kliff Kingsbury was so smitten with Murray that he was seriously entertaining the idea of selecting the former Oklahoma quarterback with the top overall pick.

Tony Pauline of Draft Analyst later reported that Kingsbury was telling people that Murray-to-Arizona was a "done deal." Rich Eisen later contradicted that report on Monday as defensive backs went through their skill tests.

"What I'm hearing is that Arizona has communicated that they are standing pat (with Josh Rosen)," Eisen said on air.

It would appear that the Cardinals' interest in replacing Rosen with Murray is very real.

H/t to Patrick Tulini for the find.

49ers mailbag: Will Brandon Aiyuk be on the roster on Friday morning? Will SF draft another quarterback?

By Marc Adams

We're just over 24 hours before round one of the NFL Draft begins. The San Francisco 49ers are scheduled to have their first pick in the opening round since 2021 when they drafted Trey Lance. That didn't turn out well, but there is optimism that the team will be able to make its roster better over the next few days. GM John Lynch spoke on Monday and said there's a possibility the team could trade out of the first round. I doubt that would go over well with the fanbase, especially since they haven't had a first-rounder in the past two years. But if it's a good trade that lands the 49ers some quality picks, we could see that happen, especially if there aren't any players at pick 31 that the team is excited about. We opened up the 49ers Webzone Mailbag to see what
