NFL Awards: Vote for Gore and Willis

Running back Frank Gore is a nominee for this week's FedEx Ground award. Linebacker Patrick Willis is up for the GMC Defensive Player of the Week and the Rookie of the Week.

Gore had 116 yards on 21 carries, two touchdowns and added 11 catches for 98 yards in the 49ers' dramatic overtime win against the Arizona Cardinals.

Willis made 18 tackles and a ½ sack. He was also responsible for running down Sean Morey on a 67-yard reception in overtime preventing Arizona from winning the game.

On Tuesday morning, it was announced that former San Francisco 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis has advanced to the semifinalist round for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024. From an original list of 173 nominees, 25 modern-era candidates have been selected. This marks the third consecutive year that Willis has advanced in the selection process. Two other former 49ers players, running back Ricky Watters and wide receiver Anquan Boldin, have also made it to the semifinals. The 49ers drafted Willis from Ole Miss with the No. 11 overall pick in 2007, and he spent eight seasons with the team before retiring after the 2014 season. Christian McCaffrey achieves milestone last seen with the 49ers by Frank Gore

Christian McCaffrey rushed for 1,139 yards last season, marking his third time surpassing 1,000 yards in his NFL career. Of course, he accomplished this feat during his time with the Carolina Panthers and San Francisco 49ers. Entering Week 13, McCaffrey led the league with 939 rushing yards, requiring only 61 more to secure his fourth career season surpassing the 1,000-yard mark. He achieved this milestone in the third quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles, becoming the first 49ers running back to reach 1,000 rushing yards since Frank Gore did so in 2014 with 1,106 rushing yards. McCaffrey was on pace for 1,451 rushing yards leading up to the game, a potential single-season career-high. Additionally, he was on track to rack up 2,052 all-purpose yards, which
