The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 3 contest against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium and look to be on their way to getting back a big offensive weapon. Wide receiver Marquise Goodwin missed Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions after
suffering a deep thigh contusion during Week 1 in Minnesota.
"He's going to be limited today," head coach Kyle Shanahan said before practice. "I expect him to go some, but he's still limited."
Linebacker Malcolm Smith has yet to take a regular-season snap with the 49ers since signing a five-year deal with the team on March 9, 2017. He had been dealing with a hamstring injury but practiced on Wednesday and did not appear on the injury report.
Safety Jaquiski Tartt left Sunday's game with a shoulder stinger and did not practice on Wednesday.
Below are Wednesday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Chiefs, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.

Charvarius Ward willing to help 49ers land Tre'Davious White
The San Francisco 49ers likely aren't finished fortifying their defense and have reportedly expressed interest in bolstering their defensive backfield. If they require assistance making a significant move, one 49ers player is prepared to lend a helping hand.
Last week, the Buffalo Bills released All-Pro cornerback Tre'Davious White, who appears to be an ideal fit for San Francisco's needs opposite Charvarius Ward.
