San Francisco 49ers safety Jaquiski Tartt is day-to-day with a shoulder stinger, head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Monday. His availability against the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend is uncertain.
Tartt left Sunday's game on the first snap of the Lions' final drive. He went into the game with the shoulder injury and re-injured it. Tartt had five combined tackles against Detroit before exiting and had six tackles and a pass defensed against the Minnesota Vikings a week earlier.
The 49ers made Tartt a second-round draft pick out of Samford in 2015. He signed a two-year contract extension in April. The new deal will keep Tartt in San Francisco through the 2020 season.
Tartt's 2017 season was cut short by a broken forearm. He has registered 192 combined tackles, 3.5 sacks, 10 passes defensed, two interceptions, and a forced fumble in three-plus career seasons.

Let's start with a mea culpa. I got it wrong: It was, in fact, The Last Dance for that 49ers team.
You can blame many things for that completely errant prediction, but if pushed, I'd put it down to sheer belief and optimism that such a good 49ers team, that gave us all such...
Surprisingly, this question is being asked so frequently, but if we approach it objectively, the answer is quite straightforward. The short response is that the 49ers should not part ways with Kyle Shanahan or John Lynch, as they consistently win and most teams in the NFL would...
