San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan jumped on KNBR Friday morning for his weekly radio interview and provided injury updates on linebacker Malcolm Smith and tight end George Kittle. Smith has been limited during practices this week with a hamstring injury while Kittle, who separated his shoulder during the exhibition opener on August 9, has been full-go.
Shanahan expects Kittle to play during the 49ers' regular-season opener against the Minnesota Vikings but remains uncertain about Smith. Will he make his debut on Sunday?
"I'm not sure about that," Shanahan said on the "Murph & Mac" show. "I'd say it's about 50/50 now. He got to practice a little bit more yesterday, but he was still limited. I haven't seen him today so today will be a big test for him. I'm sure we'll probably know by tomorrow."
As for Kittle...
"Kittle will be good," Shanahan said. "He's been able to practice all week so he'll be out there Sunday. He's been good."

Shanahan is scheduled to speak to the media after practice on Friday afternoon around 1 p.m.
