Gore will not play against Falcons

According to Matt Maiocco of the Press Democrat, running back Frank Gore will not play today against the Atlanta Falcons.

Running backs Michael Robinson and Maurice Hicks will take over the rushing duties for the 49ers. The two will alternate in and out of the offense.

Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox recently listed one offseason regret for each NFL team (h/t Niners Noise). That regret for the Kansas City Chiefs was letting Charvarius Ward depart. In March, the cornerback signed a three-year, $40.5 million deal with the San Francisco 49ers, forcing the Chiefs to use a first-round pick on Trent McDuffie.
