The San Francisco 49ers took the lead over the New York Giants for the third time on Sunday when quarterback C.J. Beathard hit tight end Garrett Celek for a 47-yard touchdown near the end of the first half. The score put the 49ers up 17-13 over the Giants, which ended up being the score headed into halftime.
The touchdown marked the first multi-score game for rookie quarterback Beathard and gave Celek his second score of the season. Wide receiver Marquise Goodwin appeared to get injured on the play but was able to make his way to the 49ers sideline under his own power.
