Matt Maiocco is reporting the N.Y. Giants recently inquired about a trade for tackle Kwame Harris.The Giants' offer is believed to be a low-round draft pick, possibly a seventh-rounder for the Harris. The 49ers are likely asking for a conditional draft pick, possibly a fifth-rounder that could move to a fourth-round selection if Harris plays a certain number of games.

Vikings to interview 49ers' DeMeco Ryans on Sunday; Raiders also interested

San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans is garnering some interest around the NFL. It was initially reported that the Minnesota Vikings would interview him for their head coaching vacancy this past Wednesday. However, while speaking with reporters before Wednesday's practice, Ryans said that interview had not yet taken place. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Vikings will interview Ryans on Sunday, the day after the 49ers play the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Schefter adds another team to the mix, saying that the Las Vegas Raiders are also interested in interviewing the 49ers coordinator for their head coaching

The New York Giants must have been impressed with San Francisco 49ers assistant general manager Adam Peters, who is considered one of the brightest executive minds in the NFL and a favorite to become an NFL general manager soon. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, on Thursday, the Giants will conduct a second interview with Peters for their vacant general manager job following the retirement of Dave Gettleman. Peters' first interview with the Giants took place on Monday. Pelissero adds that Peters is among three finalists for the job opening. The other two are Buffalo Bills assistant general manager Joe Schoen and Kansas City Chiefs executive director of player personnel Ryan

In addition, they've churned through three head coaches in that time period with Bob McAdoo, Pat Shurmur, and Joe Judge, while keeping GM Dave Gettleman, who's struggled to identify top-tier talent in the draft, and has made questionable free agent decisions, which is why Judge was fired this offseason, and Gettleman "retired", just like Tom Coughlin a few years back.
