Defensive lineman Solomon Thomas was one of the several notable injuries during the San Francisco 49ers' 33-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. The rookie left the game in the second half with a knee injury.

A report from NBC Sports Bay Area states that Thomas suffered an MCL sprain.

While the injury could have been more severe, Thomas is expected to miss some time because of it.

Thomas was one of two first-round picks by the 49ers in April. The other, linebacker Reuben Foster, was inactive against the Eagles due to a rib injury sustained last week against the Dallas Cowboys.

Other notable injuries from Sunday's loss include safety Jimmie Ward (broken forearm), tackles Joe Staley (eye) and Garry Gilliam (knee), and defensive tackle D.J. Jones (knee). Wide receiver Pierre Garçon also left the game and was questionable to return.
