The San Francisco 49ers will host a defensive back from a small school in Kansas on Tuesday. Deron Washington, who played college football for the Pittsburg State Gorillas, will work out for the team, according to Damon Talbot of NFL Draft Diamonds.
Tuesday is a day off for 49ers players, whose next practice is scheduled for Wednesday at 1:25 p.m. PT.
Washington (6-1, 211) played safety at Pittsburg State and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Atlanta Falcons following the 2017 NFL Draft. He was waived by Atlanta on August 30.
During his senior season with the Gorillas, Washington had 60 tackles, two for a loss, two interceptions, four passes defensed, and two forced fumbles.
