Ian Rapoport of
NFL Media is reporting that the San Francisco 49ers will interview both Atlanta Falcons defensive passing game coordinator Jerome Henderson and former Jacksonville Jaguars linebackers coach Robert Saleh on Friday for the defensive coordinator job.
The most interesting part of the report is that both might get the job. Rapoport reports that the pair could serve as co-defensive coordinators for the 49ers.
Of course, Shanahan is very familiar with Henderson, who he worked with in Atlanta. He has also served as the defensive backs coach for the Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns, and New York Jets.
Saleh has spent the past three seasons in Jacksonville and was reportedly ready to join the Chargers in Los Angeles for the same role under defensive coordinator Gus Bradley.
