49ers sign Dashon Goldson

According to 49ers.com, the San Francisco 49ers have signed fourth-round draft pick Dashon Goldson. Terms of the contract are not yet known.

Goldson, who played safety at Washington, was the 126th overall selection in April.

News of the signing was first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter on Sunday, after the 49ers beat the Miami Dolphins 33-17, following the news that quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo suffered a season-ending foot injury. Christian McCaffrey won't practice Wednesday as 49ers prepare for Dolphins

San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey played through some knee irritation on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. While Kyle Shanahan didn't sound too concerned about the injury after the game, the 49ers coach said his running back would miss the first practice of the week as the team prepares to host the Miami Dolphins at Levi's Stadium on Sunday. The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 13 contest against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Christian McCaffrey didn't practice. The running back worked through some knee irritation on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. Head coach Kyle Shanahan wasn't sure if the situation would keep McCaffrey from playing this weekend.
