Vance McDonald, Daniel Kilgore injured against Jets

On Friday, the San Francisco 49ers signed TE Vance McDonald to a five-year, $35 million extension. On Sunday against the New York Jets, McDonald headed into the locker room with an injured shoulder prior to the end of the first half. The injury occurred during a running play that saw RB Carlos Hyde gain 43 yards.

McDonald was announced as questionable to return to the game.

Update:
The 49ers have announced McDonald as out against the Jets.

In the first quarter, C Daniel Kilgore went down but was able to slowly walk off of the field on his own.

Three down, and two to go. The busy week continues for San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, who will have been interviewed by five of the six NFL teams with head-coaching vacancies by the end of Saturday. The New York Jets report that Saleh has completed his interview with them. It was his third known interview of the week. Saleh interviewed with the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night and then the Detroit Lions on Thursday.
