The 49ers will turn to Mac Jones under center, as Brock Purdy has been officially ruled out due to a lingering toe injury. Purdy missed Weeks 2 and 3 with the same issue but returned for Week 4 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. After experiencing soreness following that game, he was unable to practice this week and will not play in Thursday night's matchup.
Also sidelined are wide receivers Ricky Pearsall and Jauan Jennings. Pearsall suffered a knee injury against the Jaguars, while Jennings is dealing with a rib injury.
