Defensive tackle Arik Armstead isn't expected to play against the Cardinals and was among several defensive players who did not practice. Sunday's game will likely be his second consecutive absence. The other defenders who did not suit up for practice are defensive tackle Javon Hargrave (hamstring), cornerback Charvarius Ward (groin), linebacker Dre Greenlaw (ankle, hip), and linebacker Oren Burks (knee).
On the offensive side, tight end Ross Dwelley is expected to require more time to recover from the high-ankle sprain sustained on December 3. Guard Spencer Burford, inactive in this past weekend's game against the Seattle Seahawks, did not practice.
Cornerback Darrell Luter and running back Elijah Mitchell, both inactive against the Seahawks, were on the practice field on Wednesday. Luter was a full participant, while Mitchell was limited.
Below are Wednesday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Cardinals, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
