It also looked like guard Aaron Banks (ankle) and linebacker Dre Greenlaw (hamstring) are participating. Both were suited up for the Friday session.
Update: Samuel did make an appearance as the media window closed. However, it appeared that the wide receiver would just do conditioning work.
San Francisco will issue a practice participation report after the on-field work.
Injuries forced McCaffrey and Samuel to exit Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns. Samuel suffered a shoulder injury in the opening quarter, while McCaffrey endured an oblique injury in the third. Williams played through the pain of an ankle injury he sustained in the first quarter.
"It didn't feel good at all," Williams said after the game. "It's football, and I just tried to fight through it for my teammates."

On Wednesday, head coach Kyle Shanahan said the 49ers consider each player day-to-day, and the team hasn't ruled them out of Monday's game against the Vikings.
"We always have to have their health and safety as our primary concern, always will, and make sure that they're safe being out there," general manager John Lynch added during a Friday morning radio interview. "So a lot to factor in, and we'll just kind of let that continue to play out. But I know they're all doing their best to get back out there for their team."
San Francisco remains favored by 6.5 points in the Week 7 showdown at U.S. Bank Stadium. The team will hold one more practice, a Saturday session, before traveling to Minneapolis.
