San Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance has been nominated for his first Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Week Award. The nomination comes after the Niners' 23-7 Week 17 home win over the Houston Texans, Lance's second career start. This is the 49ers rookie's first league-sponsored award nomination.

Lance completed 16 of 23 pass attempts for 249 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and a passer rating of 116.0. He also added eight carries for 31 yards on the ground.

The other award nominees are quarterback Mac Jones of the New England Patriots, wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals, running back Najee Harris of the Pittsburgh Steelers, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Detroit Lions, and running back Rhamondre Stevenson of the Patriots.
