Kittle is now a wealthy man. On Friday, he officially signed a five-year, $75 million deal to ensure he remains with the 49ers through the 2025 season.
The Rock offered up his congratulations via Twitter.
As you can probably imagine, Kittle was ecstatic.
Kittle had an opportunity to briefly meet The Rock during the week leading to the Super Bowl, and needless to say, the NFL star was starstruck.
Kittle and his teammates were getting ready to record the intro for the big game.
"I turn around, and The Rock was stepping up onto the stage, goes chest to chest with me, and he goes, 'What's up, brother?'" Kittle shared in March. "I literally almost backed off the stage and fell. I had no idea. I probably let out a little yell ... I couldn't stop swearing."
He was lucky to make it through the shoot after meeting one of his idols.
"I messed up like twice because I couldn't even think straight," Kittle added. "I was like, 'I don't even know where I am, right now. That's The Rock, though.'
"Right afterward, I got to talk to him for about 30 seconds. He gave me a bottle of tequila (he has his own brand), got a photo with him, and then I was out the gate, and I didn't see him again, so that was tough. But, I got to meet The Rock, which was cool."
