The move comes on the same day the 49ers signed veteran long snapper Jon Condo and waived long snapper Colin Holba.
The Arizona Cardinals made Holden a fifth-round selection out of Vanderbilt in 2017. He has 11 game appearances and seven starts through his two NFL seasons. Holden spent part of this offseason with the Miami Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks after the Cardinals released him on July 20.
