Bosa will wear No. 97, which was previously worn by linebacker Dekoda Watson before he was traded to the Denver Broncos on Saturday.
The Day 2 wide receiver selections also chose their numbers. Deebo Samuel will wear No. 19 while Jalen Hurd will wear No. 17.
Also of note is that linebacker Pita Taumoepenu will make a switch from No. 55 to No. 50. The reason? So new pass rusher Dee Ford can wear No. 55, the number he wore for five seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. There's little doubt that Taumoepenu profited from that switch.
Update: Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area provided the number selections for the remaining five drafted rookies.
Punter Mitch Wishnowsky will wear No. 6, linebacker Dre Greenlaw will wear No. 57, tight end Kaden Smith will wear No. 89, tackle Justin Skule will wear No. 67, and cornerback Tim Harris will wear No. 35.
