NFL.com analyst Gil Brandt provided the following numbers from Beal's pro-day-style workout.
Beal registered 92 combined tackles, two for a loss, two interceptions, 19 passes defensed, and a forced fumble in three seasons and 32 games for the Broncos, according to Sports Reference.
Other players available in the supplemental draft include Virginia Tech cornerback Adonis Alexander and Mississippi State safety Brandon Bryant. 49ers representatives were on hand for Alexander's workout on June 20 and Bryant's on June 25. Linebacker Bright Ugwoegbu of Oregon State has recently made himself available as well. He will also hold a workout on Thursday.
Teams interested in a player can place a bid on him on July 11. The bid must be in the form of a 2019 draft pick. Since draft positioning will not be finalized until the end of the upcoming season, teams need only indicate which round they would select a prospect. The club with the winning bid receives the rights to the player but loses that round's selection. Each team's performance last season will break any ties.
The last player to be selected in the NFL's supplemental draft was former Clemson tackle Isaiah Battle, who the then-St. Louis Rams picked in 2015 with a fifth-round selection bid. This year could break the streak of uneventful supplemental drafts.
