The San Francisco 49ers added 10 new offensive and defensive weapons during the three nights of the 2017 NFL Draft, which wrapped up on Saturday. They kicked off the first round with two selections to help bolster their 2016 last-ranked defense. With the third pick overall, which was acquired by trading down with the Chicago Bears, the 49ers selected Stanford defensive lineman Solomon Thomas. San Francisco then traded back into the end of the first round to select Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster.
