Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer will not play against the 49ers on Thursday night because of a concussion he sustained Sunday and will be replaced by Drew Stanton. Palmer's absence could mean an even heavier workload for running back David Johnson, who leads the NFL with 505 yards from scrimmage. The 49ers rank 32nd in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game (140.5) and will be without All-Pro inside linebacker NaVorro Bowman, who sustained a season-ending Achilles tear Sunday.
