Today, San Francisco 49ers RB Carlos Hyde posted a video of himself training at DBC Fitness in Miami, Florida. Back in January, it was confirmed by 49ers general manager Trent Baalke that Hyde had surgery late in the season, but is expected to be ready for the team's offseason program.

This past season, Hyde suffered a stress fracture in his left foot, causing him to miss nine games. He finished 2015 with just 470 yards on 115 carries and three touchdowns. The injury was discovered by the media just prior to the team's Week 7 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks, a game that Hyde would end up playing in.

The team's offseason program begins in April. However, the brunt of the offseason program will begin later, which should give Hyde enough time to heal before getting on the practice field.

The other running backs on the roster include newly re-signed Shaun Draughn, Mike Davis, Kendall Gaskins, DuJuan Harris, and Jarryd Hayne. Reggie Bush, who was placed on IR last season, is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent and the 49ers are not expected to re-sign him.

It's also interesting to note that the 49ers have drafted a running back every year since 2009.

By David Bonilla

The San Francisco 49ers have been actively exploring options at safety this offseason, both in free agency and during their draft evaluations. A recent report from the San Francisco Chronicle indicated that All-Pro safety Talanoa Hufanga's starting position is not guaranteed for the upcoming season as he recovers from a torn ACL sustained on November 19, 2023. During a media session at the NFL owners meetings on Monday, general manager John Lynch shared an update on Hufanga's progress, noting that offseason roster additions could still occur. "Talanoa is doing really well. That's the great news," Lynch said of his young rehabbing safety. "He's rehabbing extremely well,

49ers Notebook: Crucial offseason for Purdy; O-line confidence; Shanahan on new kickoff rule, Dobbs signing; Hufanga eyes training camp return

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan doesn't have to field as many quarterback questions as he did a year ago after Brock Purdy underwent surgery, the arrival of Sam Darnold, and the uncertainty surrounding the future of Trey Lance. The quarterback situation is clearer now than it has been in recent years. For Purdy, this offseason holds significant importance. It marks the first time he can focus on on-field improvement during minicamps, OTAs, and training camp. While he had this opportunity as a rookie in 2022, he was buried on the depth chart, limiting his practice reps. Last year, Purdy was still recovering from surgery to repair the torn ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right elbow. He didn't get to throw to his teammates until training camp in

The San Francisco 49ers likely aren't finished fortifying their defense and have reportedly expressed interest in bolstering their defensive backfield. If they require assistance making a significant move, one 49ers player is prepared to lend a helping hand. Last week, the Buffalo Bills released All-Pro cornerback Tre'Davious White, who appears to be an ideal fit for San Francisco's needs opposite Charvarius Ward. Over the weekend, Ward took to social media to reveal that he and White share the same agent and that he is willing to nudge the free-agent defensive back in the right direction. Ward described White as a "hand in glove
