The first round of the 2024 NFL Draft has concluded, and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk remains on the San Francisco 49ers roster, as many anticipated. However, both general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan were receptive to listening to offers from other teams, and indeed, teams made inquiries.

Terique Owens, son of Hall of Fame wide receiver, Terrell Owens, is reportedly signing as an undrafted free agent (UDFA) with the San Francisco 49ers. The elder Owens, who the 49ers drafted in 1996 (third round) out of Tennessee Chattanooga, spent his first eight seasons with the team. He was known for his speed, and strength, using his 6'3, 224-pound frame to bully defensive backs, and run away from defenses. NFL Communications has officially announced the "NFL legends and active players" who will announce selections during Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft. Representing the San Francisco 49ers will be former defensive tackle Anthony "Spice" Adams, who spent four seasons with the team and nine in the NFL.
San Francisco selected Adams out of Penn State in the second round (No. 57 overall) of the 2003 NFL Draft.
