SANTA CLARA — Two days after Jed York’s arrest in East Palestine, Ohio, Kyle Shanahan shared, that from a football standpoint, it’s business as usual for the 49ers.“Obviously it’s a very tough situation,” Shanahan said. “Views for organization going forward is the same, as usual. There won’t be any difference in that, but I know it’s just extremely fresh. I think it’s a very, very personal situation.
“I’ve got a lot of respect for Jed, I’ve got a lot of respect for Danielle [York]. Their family does mean a lot to me, so with It being this personal I’m trying as hard as I can to keep it that way.”
Prior to pleading no contest to two misdemeanor charges, the team owner has not been around the facility during training camp, spending time in his hometown of Youngstown, Ohio. While his imprint is on the organization as the majority owner, the players, coaches and staff in the building are working though the dog days of training camp and preparing for their third exhibition game with the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday evening.
