SANTA CLARA — Training camp came to an end on Tuesday.The 49ers’ held their final full practice before their preseason finale on Thursday night against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Within a week, the 49ers will make their initial cut to 53 players before heading off to Australia for their Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Of course, quarterback Brock Purdy and linebacker Fred Warner were the 49ers’ top players during their 4 1/2 weeks of work at their practice facility this summer.
But a couple of other 49ers made their bids for Camp MVP, too, notably wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling and defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa.
Both Stribling and Odighizuwa had impressive showings on the practice field Tuesday, as well as all camp long.
Purdy and Stribling teamed up for the offensive play of the day on Tuesday. Purdy delivered a perfect 40-yard pass along the right sideline against the coverage of cornerback Jack Jones and safety Marques Sigle.
