One of the 49ers’ biggest offseason questions doesn’t concern the offense or defense — it’s kicker Eddy Piñiero, who is scheduled to become a free agent at the start of the new league year on March 11.General manager John Lynch said the 49ers are attempting to agree to a multi-year contract extension with the kicker, who initially signed with San Francisco before Week 2 of the 2025 season after the team released 2023 third-round draft pick Jake Moody. “Eddy was obviously fantastic,” Lynch told local media on Tuesday. “We got a couple weeks before free agency to continue to work towards something.
