The 49ers on Monday announced the promotion of Al Guido, a long-time member of the front office, to the role of chief executive officer.Guido, 46, has served 12 years as a 49ers top executive, including the past 10 as team president.Jed York, who previously held the title of CEO, will continue in his role as the 49ers’ principal owner and leader of the organization.President of football operations/general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan will continue to lead football operations. Lynch, Shanahan and Guido report directly to York, according to the team.“Al has been an exceptional leader for this organization for more than a decade,” York said in a statement released through the team.“His vision, partnership, and steady leadership have positioned the 49ers for success today and well into the future.
