But the defense did just enough to keep the Chicago Bears out of the end zone on their final two drives for the 49ers to secure a 42-38 victory on Sunday night at Levi’s Stadium.“There’s a lot we can clean up from the whole game,” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said of his defense. “(We) probably made too many mistakes. But they were at their best when their best was needed, and stopping them on that last drive was huge.”The 49ers improved to 12-4 with their sixth consecutive victory.
