49ers’ latest roster moves signal kicker Eddy Piñeiro ready to return vs. Titans

The 49ers signaled on Tuesday that kicker Eddy Piñeiro is ready to return this Sunday when the Tennessee Titans come to town for their Week 15 showdown. San Francisco made three roster moves, including releasing kicker Matt Gay, who stepped in when Piñeiro was sidelined with a hamstring injury that occurred in the 49ers’ Week 11 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Gay, who was released from the practice squad, was perfect through his two-game stint with the 49ers, successfully making four field goals and four PATs.Before his injury, Piñeiro had been very accurate since signing with the 49ers just prior to Week 2 of the 2025 season.
