Kyle Shanahan reveals Brock Purdy will start 49ers’ Week 11 game vs. Cardinals

SANTA CLARA — Brock Purdy is back.Purdy will be in San Francisco’s starting lineup on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, coach Kyle Shanahan said Friday during the taping of NBC Sports Bay Area’s “49ers Game Plan.”Shanahan said he sensed Purdy’s confidence increasing last week during practices. Purdy missed the past six games due to turf toe. “That’s why we were really close to getting him up last week, but still thought it would help him for another week, and so did he,” Shanahan said. “The way he was Monday, just watching him film with him, the way he was at Wednesday’s practice. And really (today) was the best. We were going full speed and everything. So he’s good to go, and it’s good to get him back.”He originally sustained the injury to the big toe on his right foot in the 49ers’ season-opening game against the Seattle Seahawks. He aggravated the condition in Week 4 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.Mac Jones started eight of the 49ers’ first 10 games of the season, including the past six games.
