49ers expect Bryce Huff, Jake Brendel to miss two weeks with hamstring injuries

Edge rusher Bryce Huff, who added to his team-leading sack total on Sunday night, is expected to miss at least the 49ers’ next two games.Huff sustained a hamstring injury in his final two plays of the 49ers’ 20-10 victory over the Atlanta Falcons at Levi’s Stadium.The 49ers previously lost defensive end Nick Bosa to a season-ending knee injury. Also, defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos has missed two games with a hamstring injury.Coach Kyle Shanahan said the 49ers’ dwindling depth at defensive end does not necessarily make the organization more aggressive toward pursuing a deal ahead of the Nov. 4 NFL trade deadline.“I don’t think it changes the urgency of it,” Shanahan said Monday on a conference call with Bay Area reporters.“It definitely sucks losing Huff, but it is a hamstring and hopefully it won’t be longer than two weeks. So we know he’s coming back and hopefully sooner than later.”Huff leads the 49ers with four sacks on the season.
