It does not appear Brandon Aiyuk will make his return to the field for the 49ers any time soon. The star wideout had been very visible during practice throughout training camp and early this season, running alongside his fellow receivers during the open portion of practice, with his speed and agility during those sessions giving the impression that a return from a devastating knee injury could be soon.However, Aiyuk has not been seen on the field much in the past two weeks. Head coach Kyle Shanahan was asked about Aiyuk’s progress on Monday, and did not have a concrete timeline for his star receiver’s return, but did offer the Week 10 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on Nov. 9 at Levi’s Stadium as a possible target. “No timeframe,” Shanahan said via conference call. “I always look around that Week 10 thing, but we’re not putting an exact date on it. I know he’s rehabbing real hard and put together a few good weeks here and hopefully he’s getting closer and closer, which I believe he is.
