The San Francisco 49ers still sit alone atop the NFC West standings following their thrilling Thursday night overtime win against the Los Angeles Rams.
Both the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals had opportunities on Sunday to close the gap on the division leaders, but neither could capitalize. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers edged out the Seahawks in a 38-35 shootout, while the Tennessee Titans mounted a comeback to hand the Cardinals a heartbreaking 22-21 defeat.
The 49ers head into Week 6 with a 4-1 record, their lone loss coming against the Jacksonville Jaguars. San Francisco remains undefeated in NFC play (3-0) and perfect on the road (3-0) as they prepare for a pivotal showdown at Raymond James Stadium against the now 4-1 Buccaneers.
