How PFF graded Brock Purdy, 49ers’ offense in mistake-filled loss to Jaguars

The 49ers made several mistakes in their 26-21 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium, and their PFF grades highlight what they’ll need to clean up before “Thursday Night Football” against the Rams in Los Angeles on a short week’s rest.Starting quarterback Brock Purdy, who has been limited in practice for the past two weeks with a toe injury, was under pressure on 39 percent of his drop backs, and that was how the Jaguars’ defense affected the game.Purdy completed just six of his 14 attempts for 100 yards with one interception and a 37.8 passer rating when under pressure. While he generally been very accurate on intermediate throws 10 to 19 yards downfield, Purdy only completed four of his nine passes at that depth with two interceptions and a 33.8 passer rating.Many of the 49ers’ wide receivers have had limited time on the field during practice, including Jauan Jennings, who has been dealing with multiple injuries since the start of training camp. Kendrick Bourne signed with the 49ers after Purdy suffered his toe injury, thus giving him limited reps with the signal-caller.Bourne and Jennings each were targeted...
