Quarterback Brock Purdy’s toe injury remains a concern and places his availability in question for the 49ers’ Week 5 game.Coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday morning that Purdy reported soreness in his right toe following San Francisco’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.Shanahan said there is concern about whether Purdy will be available to get back on the field when the 49ers return to action Thursday against the Los Angeles Rams in a key NFC West matchup at SoFi Stadium.“Any time guys are sore and hurt on a Monday, you usually don’t stress too much about it,” Shanahan said on a conference call with Bay Area reporters. “But any time you have a Thursday game, it’s a totally different element.“So, yeah, I’m concerned with anybody who’s not totally healthy at this moment.”Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall’s ability to play on Thursday is also in question after leaving Sunday’s game with a knee injury.Shanahan said Pearsall may have sustained an injury to the posterior-cruciate ligament, which is not considered a condition that would keep him out for significant time.So, the 49ers could head into the...
