49ers QB Brock Purdy dispels concern about lack of chemistry with wide receivers

SANTA CLARA — Brock Purdy has had limited practice time with most of his wide receivers, but the 49ers quarterback insists the group’s struggles in their 26-21 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars were not about a lack of chemistry. “Honestly, I know the receivers are new and everything like that, and you can talk chemistry and things, but I think at the end of the day, it’s football,” Purdy said after the game.Purdy has been limited at practice with a toe injury for the past two weeks, and he’s not the only player who has missed time. Jauan Jennings has not practiced much since the beginning of training camp due to calf, shoulder and ankle injuries. Demarcus Robinson was a participant in training camp, but missed the past three weeks while serving a three-game suspension.
