SANTA CLARA — A few players returned to practice on Thursday following the 49ers’ announcement that Nick Bosa officially had been placed on injured reserve.Both left tackle Trent Williams and running back Christian McCaffrey returned to the field after a veteran/rest day on Wednesday. Yetur Gross-Matos and Ricky Pearsall also returned after sitting out the day prior, both with knee injuries.Players who remained off the field during practice were wide receiver Jauan Jennings (shoulder/ankle), wide receiver Jordan Watkins (calf), and CJ West (thumb).Wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was on the field for his second practice after being activated from the commissioner’s reserve/suspended list, filling in the roster spot opened up by Bosa.
