SANTA CLARA — Mac Jones had the tough task of willing the 49ers to a 16-15 win over the Arizona Cardinals, but having Christian McCaffrey in the backfield gave the team’s backup additional confidence. “He’s one of the best players in the NFL,” Jones said of McCaffrey. “So you look around in the huddle and you have confidence. Yeah, he’s Christian McCaffrey. I don’t know how to describe it. You know that he’s there and he’s going to make plays and he’s going to hold onto the ball.
